Though Kagurabachi chapter 17 is scheduled to be released at 12 a.m. JST on Monday, January 22, 2024, spoilers and raw scans have already been made public. The chapter focused on Chihiro’s conflict with Sojo and featured an imagined dialogue between the two, according to spoilers.
In the previous chapter of Kagurabachi, it was shown how Sojo may destroy the Kamunabi elite team by unleashing the true capabilities of the Kuregumo (Cloud Gouger). After winning, he went back to his base to take on Chihiro Rokuhira, who had managed to free Char from Sojo’s base.

Kagurabachi chapter 17 spoilers show Chihiro defeating Genichi Sojo
Kagurabachi chapter 17 begins with Chihiro and Sojo engaging in combat, based on spoilers. It was indicated in the last chapter that because of the intense use of Genryoku, both Enchanted Blade users had only 12 seconds to finish their combat before their bodies give out.
There was a deadline, and neither Sojo nor Chihiro could afford to squander any time. In a style reminiscent of a movie, they charge toward one another and lock their Enchanted Blades. At that point, Sojo and Chihiro are shown having a fictitious chat at the former’s hideaway in Kagurabachi chapter 17.
Chihiro receives a serving of tea and Hanami-Dango, a traditional Japanese meal, from the Mafia Boss. But since he dislikes sweets, the main character declines. Then Sojo accuses him. accusing him of being cruel and claiming that his only motivation is “murderous intent.”
He goes on to add that thoughts of Chihiro occupied his mind the whole time. Then, Sojo inquires about Kunishige Rokuhira, his father. Though first taken aback, Chihiro swiftly recalls that he did bring up the fact that he was Kunishige’s son during their initial encounter with Sojo.
The Mafia leader goes on to explain that while Chihiro’s remarks made him realize how he was connected to the Enchanted Blade himself, the protagonist’s conviction made him feel sick to his stomach. An Enchanted Blade was only ever meant to be used to cause harm, according to Sojo.
a different interpretation from Chihiro’s. But as chapter 17 spoilers for Kagurabachi indicate, Sojo was certain about his own beliefs on the blade. He says that Kunishige, the person who created it, sent him a message that said “murder.”
He understood deep down that his interpretation was incorrect. But murder was what harmonized him with the Cloud Gouger, or Kuregumo, sword. The action then shifts back to the battlefield in Kagurabachi chapter 17, when Sojo cuts one of Chihiro’s arms with a quick maneuver.
The Mafia Boss notices that although Chihiro is physically stronger than he was, he has increased in speed. The fictitious scene is subsequently revisited in Kagurabachi chapter 17, when Chihiro informs Sojo that anybody may speak for Kunishige Rokuhira, which is why their war has significance.
Returning to the fight, the Mafia Boss learns that Chihiro possesses three other skills besides Nishiki: projectile slashes, a defensive ability, and the capacity to wield lightning as a lightning rod.
The dark-haired protagonist’s speed rendered Yui and Kou ineffective, so Sojo chooses to utilize lightning as a sucker punch. The Mafia Boss then takes a chance in Kagurabachi chapter 17, speeding up the use of his genryoku, which reduced his six-second remaining time to down-seconds.
In order to decapitate Chihiro, he intended to accept this risk and cover himself with twice as much Genryoku as possible. He fails to see the swing, though, as the main character uses Nishiki to avoid it.
The next section of the chapter finds Chihiro reflecting on his father’s remarks on the Enchanted Blades, specifically that they are ultimately instruments of destruction. Deep down, Kunishige understood the swords he created weren’t the right solution for the planet.
Nevertheless, he preferred that his kid not take his statements at face value but rather experience the world with his own eyes. Chihiro understands that this planet cannot support the Enchanted Blades.
Chihiro intended to kill Cloud Gouger with even more malicious purpose once Sojo noticed that he had a deadly aura. Then, according to spoilers for Kagurabachi chapter 17, he chops off Sojo’s arm.
Then, with only a second left, Chihiro wrapped himself with three times his body’s maximum Genryoku capacity in order to unleash a huge Kuro. He broke the Cloud Gouger and slashed down Sojo as the chapter came to an end.
