Because of the fierce confrontations between sorcerers and Ryomen Sukuna, the King of Curses, who frequently finds himself surrounded yet prevails because of his sheer power and talents, Jujutsu Kaisen manga is undoubtedly the most popular series at the time. However, Kinji Hakari’s struggle with Uraume is also going on, even if that conflict is getting the majority of attention in the events taking place in Shinjuku.

Hakari has long been regarded as one of Jujutsu Kaisen’s most gifted apprentice sorcerers, and his admirers have been waiting impatiently to witness him battle against a fairly well-known foe such as Uraume. Though undoubtedly not as formidable as Kenjaku or Sukuna, it appeared to be a fair challenge and an opportunity for Hakari to succeed. Still,

Exploring if Hakari is dragging his battle with Uraume on purpose in the Jujutsu Kaisen manga

The manga’s most recent chapter, 252, had panels of Uraume and Kinji Hakari arguing while engaged in combat; the former called the latter’s use of the Cursed Technique and swagger “absurd.” Since author Gege Akutami hasn’t portrayed many of the events occurring in this part of the arc, this has caused a great deal of debate among fans over the status of this war.

It’s unlikely that either Uraume or Hakari has revealed to the other the whole scope of their abilities. Still, it would be senseless to delay or drag out this conflict. Neither party gains from continuing to battle the other as Uraume would want to go help Ryomen Sukuna as soon as possible and Hakari would want to do the same to help his allies.

It seems like they have been getting to know one another a little bit already, as seen by Uraume complimenting Hakari on his Cursed Energy levels and the effectiveness of his Reverse Cursed Technique. Since Hakari hasn’t utilized his Domain Expansion, it is thus difficult to envision them battling at their peak right now. It would make plausible that Uraume possesses one, even though the manga hasn’t yet fully revealed the depth of her powers.

What could happen to Hakari and Uraume in the next few chapters?

In the upcoming chapters of Jujutsu Kaisen manga, the fight between Uraume and Hakari will probably take center stage. The primary reason for this is the way the tale ends and the fact that Uraume is a minor enemy; therefore, it might make sense to terminate this conflict before the most important one, which is between Shinji Hakari and the other sorcerers.

Hakari is also unlikely to fight again after this battle, and even if he loses, it’s probable that this will be his final significant encounter in the series. The character’s adventure in the novel comes to a satisfactory conclusion since Akutami seems to appreciate him and has given him this battle against Uraume to demonstrate his sorcerer abilities.

Final moments

There is no indication in the Jujutsu Kaisen manga that Hakari is purposefully prolonging the battle with Uraume. Delaying the fight on purpose wouldn’t be a wise move on the part of either character, who would likely like to beat the other fast so they may go and aid their respective allies.
