Sand Land: The Series announces release date, cast for new arc So For
The official crew of the anime stated on March 4, 2024, that Sand Land: The Series will debut on March 20, 2024. Two new cast members and information about the anime’s upcoming extra material have also been revealed.
The anime adaptation of Akira Toriyama’s short manga series Sand Land is called Sand Land: The Series. The manga was first published by Toriyama in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump, where it ran from May to August of 2000.
Previously, an anime film adaption based on Toriyama-san’s manga debuted in August 2023 in Japan. There will be further content and film segments in the next series.

The official Sand Land: The Series team announced on Monday, March 4, 2024, that the first seven episodes of the show would debut simultaneously on Disney Plus’ STAR Anime Series and Hulu in the United States on March 20, 2024. The show will stream one episode every Wednesday starting with Episode 8.
The first six episodes of Sand Land: The Series are referred to as the Prince of Demons arc, or Akuma no Oji-hen in Japanese, according to the official crew. Scenes from the anime film will be recut into an episode format for this arc. It will also have more footage in it.
The remaining episodes (7–13) will, however, introduce a brand-new arc known as Tenshi no Yusha, or Angelic Heroes in English. .Notably, Akira Toriyama himself created the setting for this story arc, which is called Forest Land. To commemorate the news, the author has also provided a specially created artwork.
Additionally, Sand Land: The Series announces new cast members. Anne, who is portrayed as a girl who comes from the Frest Land to help Beelzebub and his comrades on their quest, is portrayed by Mikako Komatsu, best known as Maki Zen’in from Jujutsu Kaisen.
In the next anime, Ayumu Murase, who portrays Muniel, will be joining Mikako-san. Angel Muniel, who hails from heaven, describes himself as a hero in the Forest Land. In addition to them, returning actors and personnel from the anime movie will appear in the series.
Kazuhito Yamaji will play Rao once more, and Mutsumi Tamura will return as Beelzebub. Nobuo Tobita as General Zau, Satoshi Tsuruoka as General Are, and Cho as Thief are the other returning cast members.
The anime is being directed by Toshihisa Yokoshima, with directorial advisor Hiroshi Kojina. Yoshikazu Iwanami is in charge of the anime’s sound design, while Hayashi Mori writes the screenplays. Yugo Kanno is back to provide music for the series as well.
Sand Land: The Series is a continuation of Akira Toriyama’s manga series, which is set in a dystopian, arid country where a rapacious ruler controls the flow of water. Sheriff Rao approaches the king of demons for assistance while searching for a vanishing lake.
The Sheriff is accompanied on this journey by Beelzebub, the son of the king, and the Thief, his helper. Together, the three set off on an enthralling journey into the desert, encountering the fiercest enemies they could have imagined.
